We like our employees to feel like a major part of the company. We massively value sharing ideas, and challenging each other when suitable. We want everyone to feel like they have a voice, and that people will listen to it. We score a 10/12 on the Joel test (we don’t have designated testers or use hallway testing at the moment), and are constantly looking to improve our working environment in every way possible.
Training for developers can mean a range of things, but by and large, there’s no substitute for learning on the job. We encourage our team members to identify the skills develop and technologies they’d like to work with in our regular review meetings – and we aim to match projects to resource accordingly, with mentors assigned to guide along the way. We also run regular hack days where we all work on our own projects and then demo the code and work to one another.
So are we! Most of our team are either self-taught or have come from boot camp courses and we advocate them as a great way to enter the industry – we encourage applications from course graduates from Makers, General Assembly, Le Wagon, etc.
These are not the droids you’re looking for.
Please don’t call. If (one day) we need you, we’ll be in touch. We will not engage with cold-calling or emailing agencies in any way.
Please include links to your portfolio/GitHub/Bitbucket/Linkedin and a copy of your CV.
Whilst we’re working on a fully remote basis, we’re still only recruiting UK-based candidates right now, to ensure our team focus stays localised and that we can still meet when we need to.
Purr is growing fast and looking for more people to join our young team. Personality and drive are more important than experience – being keen to learn is a must!
We’ve been accredited as a London Living Wage Employer, for both employees and subcontractors.
This is an ongoing commitment and is monitored annually to ensure compliance in line with changes to the Living Wage.
