Junior PHP Developer

• Primarily PHP back-end development for CMS and application builds
• Some front end (HTML5/CSS3) work
• General web development geekdom

Range of Responsibilities

Day to day

• Developing interactive websites and apps
• Learning new skills and technologies
• Helping to scope and plan work
• Supporting existing clients
• Contribute to specification writing
• Run your own business development projects
• Documenting procedures and coaching others
• Following internal coding practices

Reports to

• Head of Development

Skills & Abilities

• Markup: HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, jQuery
• Languages: PHP5
• Databases: MySQL / Postgres
• Platforms / Frameworks: WordPress, Drupal, SilverStripe, Codeigniter
• Techniques: Ajax, MVC, OOP, APIs, Source Control (SVN, git)
• Software: Knowledge of the Adobe Suite
• Eye for detail: 1 pixel out? It matters to us.
• Systems: We’re an all Mac studio

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• Relevant degree in Computer Science / Engineering

Background

• 1-3 years of PHP development
